# 4. Create a connection

Now that you've installed the plugin you can create a connection.

1. Go to Connections in the left sidebar menu. You create connections separately to the syncs.
2. Click 'Create a new connection' to begin the flow.
3. Select the app. You will see the list of Plugins that you have installed.\
   You can find specific connection instructions for each app we support in [Apps](/omnata-product-documentation/omnata-sync-for-snowflake/apps.md).
4. You'll provide some basic details about the connection followed by authenticating to the app.\\

5. During the connection flow, you will need to run some statements in a Snowflake worksheet that require a user with ACCOUNTADMIN privileges. If you don't have this level of privilege, the flow is designed to be completed asynchronously so you can work with an administrator and resume the configuration. Simply click back to 'Connections' and your progress will be saved.

6. Once completed, your connection will appear in the list grouped by app. You can now [create a sync](/omnata-product-documentation/omnata-sync-for-snowflake/step-by-step-guides/5.-create-a-sync.md).

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.omnata.com/omnata-product-documentation/omnata-sync-for-snowflake/step-by-step-guides/4.-create-a-connection.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
