When fetching data, Omnata Connect will only select the Snowflake columns needed to render the selected fields.

Therefore, removing any unneccessary fields will reduce data transfer and improve page load times.

When you have External Object related lists on a page layout underneath a record detail, you can improve the user experience by checking the "Enable Separate Loading of Related Lists" in Setup | Customize | User Interface. This will mean the detailed record is displayed first and then its Related Lists are loaded.
